New Animal Shelter in Pike County, IL

A new animal shelter in Pittsfield, Illinois is nearing reality as bids were recently received for the construction of a new animal shelter on N. Jackson. As Pittsfield’s City Engineer, MECO Vice President Max F. Middendorf, PE has worked diligently, guiding his Team and this project through the planning, design, finance, and bidding phases to get the project to this important milestone. A recent financial gift presented to the City of Pittsfield allows the project to begin construction, with a groundbreaking anticipated to be held later in the month of October.

MECO is honored to represent the City of Pittsfield and to be a member of the Team responsible for this exciting project that will provide a clean, safe, and caring environment for the many dogs and cats that will benefit from the improved facilities on their way to their forever homes.
