GPS/Surveys/Services: Our Survey Department specializes in the performance and delivery of Global Positioning System (GPS) Surveys providing horizontal and vertical controls for aerial photography; targeting and control surveying for aerial photography. Our Department provides countywide GIS control/monumentation and documentation of GPS Control Network. Our survey department utilizes the MoDOT VRS GPS Network technology, bringing state plane coordinates to your project, saving valuable time and expense. HANNIBAL BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS 161k TRANSMISSION LINE Hannibal Board of Public Works; Heath Hall Date: 2007-2008
This project included preparing exhibits for two preliminary routes, determining existing ground terrain and obstacles for both routes and the number of easements required for each route. When the Board of Public Works selected the route, research was completed to obtain copies of all of the deeds for the affected properties and the copies of the recorded surveys in the area of the route. Easement documents and exhibits were prepared for the Board of Public Works to use in their negotiation process and property appraisals.
Upon acquisition of all easements by the Board of Public Works, the surveying of the route commenced. The survey profiled 6.2 miles of transmission line route along with determining section and property lines, all trees over 12” in diameter within the 50 foot wide easement, and any structures near the easement. The survey of the route was completed in 16 days.
ARCHITECHNICS: MARK TWAIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, HANNIBAL, MO Architechnics, Inc, Martin Meyer Date: August 2009
MECO provided the topographic survey of the existing Mark Twain Elementary School as a sub-consultant to Architechnics, the architect for the new elementary school building project for the Hannibal School District #60. The topographic survey identified existing structures, improvements, utilities, finished floor elevations, and a drawing detailing the field work complete with contours shown at one-foot intervals. Drawings were provided in digital format compatible with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Work at this site was completed in three days.

Boundary and topographic survey of a 1.5 acre tract of land in Bowling Green, Missouri that is currently an Abel’s Oil Company gas station and convenience store. Work relating to the boundary survey included the location of property corners, research of survey and current adjoining property ownership records, and a drawing detailing the field work that was completed and a description of the property. The topographic survey included the location of existing above ground improvements and utilities, and a drawing which detailed the completed field work with contours shown at one-foot intervals. The survey was completed in two days.
